Use AI where it saves real effort — with checks where it matters

Language models are good at reading unstructured text, classifying it, extracting fields and drafting responses. We identify tasks where that is genuinely useful, build the workflow around it, and add human review, logging and fallbacks so results stay dependable.

AI automation

Practical use of language models for reading, sorting, drafting and summarising work.

Tasks that often suit AI assistance

  • Reading incoming emails or forms and routing them to the right person.
  • Extracting details from invoices, contracts or applications into a system.
  • Drafting first versions of routine replies, summaries or reports.
  • Searching across documents that are spread over several tools.

Who it's for

  • Teams handling a steady volume of text-heavy, repetitive work.
  • Businesses that want to try AI on one well-defined process before going further.
  • Individuals who want to automate personal admin or research tasks.

What you receive

Typical deliverables. The exact list is confirmed in your proposal and Statement of Work.

  • Assessment of candidate tasks, with a recommendation on what to automate first.
  • Working automation connected to your tools.
  • Prompt and evaluation set so output quality can be checked when models change.
  • Human-review steps and confidence thresholds where errors would be costly.
  • Logging, error alerts and a usage-cost estimate.
  • Documentation of data flows for your privacy records.

Example use cases

Illustrations of the kind of work this covers — not descriptions of past client projects.

  • Businesses

    Inbox triage

Classify incoming enquiries, extract key details and create a task for the right person, with uncertain cases flagged for review.

  • Businesses

    Document data extraction

Pull structured fields from PDFs into a spreadsheet or database, with a check step before records are saved.

  • Businesses

    Meeting and call summaries

Turn transcripts into structured notes and action lists stored in your workspace.

  • Individuals

    Personal research assistant

Collect and summarise sources on a topic you follow, delivered as a weekly digest.

How the work runs

  1. Audit

Review the process, volumes, data sensitivity and what 'good output' means.

  2. Prototype

Test the approach on real (or representative) samples and measure quality.

  3. Build

Connect to your tools, add review steps, logging and error handling.

  4. Pilot

Run alongside the existing process before relying on it.

  5. Handover

Documentation, cost monitoring and optional ongoing tuning.

Technologies and integrations

Examples of what we commonly use. We choose per project and don't imply partnerships with any vendor.

Models
  • Hosted LLM APIs (provider chosen per project)
  • Open-weight models where data must stay in-house
Orchestration
  • TypeScript or Python services
  • n8n, Make or Zapier where a no-code tool fits
Data
  • Vector search where retrieval is needed
  • Your existing databases and storage

Dependencies and limitations

  • AI output can be wrong. We design review steps and do not recommend fully unattended use for high-impact decisions.
  • Model provider pricing and terms change; usage costs are billed by the provider and estimated, not fixed.
  • Processing personal data may require a data protection impact assessment and updated privacy notices — your responsibility as controller, with our technical input.
  • Results depend on input quality; we test on your real data before making recommendations.

Pricing

Most AI projects start with an automation audit so effort is directed at tasks where it is likely to pay off. Implementation is then quoted against a defined scope.

AI automation: questions

Is our data used to train AI models?

That depends on the provider and plan. We choose providers and settings that do not train on your data where that matters, and document the data flow so you can verify it.

How do you know the AI output is good enough?

We build an evaluation set from real examples, agree a quality bar with you, and measure against it before and after launch.

What happens when a model is updated or retired?

The evaluation set lets us re-test quickly. Support plans can include model updates.

Wondering whether AI fits a task?

Describe the task and roughly how often it happens. We'll tell you honestly whether automation is likely to help.
