Working together
Do you work with clients outside the UK?
Yes. We work remotely with clients across the European Union and the United Kingdom. Contracts and invoicing are set up to suit the client's location; tax treatment depends on the client's country and status.
Do you work with individuals as well as businesses?
Yes. Personal websites, custom tools and consultations are available to individuals. Consumer rights, such as cancellation rights where they apply, are respected and set out in the terms.
What happens on the first call?
We discuss what you need, ask questions about constraints and timing, and explain how we would approach it. There's no obligation, and we will tell you if another type of provider would suit you better.
Will I have one point of contact?
Yes. You'll have a named contact for the project, confirmed in the proposal.
Pricing and payment
How are projects priced?
Defined projects are priced as a fixed fee with listed assumptions. Less defined work is priced after a discovery phase or on a time-and-materials basis with an estimate. Support plans are monthly.
Why don't all services show a price?
Some work, such as custom platforms or integrations with unfamiliar systems, cannot be priced responsibly without understanding the details. For those we provide a quotation after scoping.
How is payment scheduled?
Payment schedules are set out in each proposal — commonly a deposit and milestone payments for projects, and monthly invoices for support.
Are prices inclusive of VAT?
Prices are shown in pounds sterling with a rounded euro equivalent, before any VAT. If VAT applies to your project, it is shown separately on the quote and the invoice. You can be invoiced in GBP or EUR.
Ownership and data
Who owns what you build?
Ownership is defined in the agreement. Our standard position is that bespoke deliverables transfer to you on full payment, while pre-existing tools and open-source components remain under their own licences.
How do you handle our data?
We access only what is needed, use credentials you can revoke, and agree data protection terms where we process personal data on your behalf.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, a mutual confidentiality agreement is reasonable before sharing sensitive material. Confidentiality is also covered in our services agreement.
AI specifically
Can AI replace a member of staff?
We don't frame projects that way. AI is useful for specific tasks — reading, sorting, drafting — and works best with people reviewing its output where mistakes matter.
Which AI models do you use?
We choose per project based on quality, cost, data handling terms and where data is processed. We are not tied to a single provider.
